The App. (Achieving personal potential) Project is a new and innovative cross community project running in 4 identified cross community areas in North Belfast.
Shankill Women’s Centre is the lead partner working in conjunction with mini contract holders: Carrickhill Residents Association, Ballysillan Community Forum, Ligoneil Improvement Association, Skegoneill & Glandore Common Purpose and Greater Whitewell Community Surgery. The project is funded by OFMDFM, Atlantic Philanthropies.
The App. Project targets two age groups: P6 & 7 and Years 8-10. The main focus is providing the young people with a homework/revision space and an hour of a structured, fun activity – and importantly this is conducted in a shared learning environment.

App. Project Manager, Lynn Smith said, “Although times have changed greatly in Northern Ireland we still live in the situation whereby many young people do not have the opportunity to interact with other young people of different religions. The App. Project provides young people with this opportunity.”
